Quoted from skinfood’s website:
This flexible jelly pudding BB cream contains moisture-rich revitalizing ingredients from orange to keep your skin ultra moisturized and to create a hydrated and jelly-like resilient skin with a smooth finish.
Jenny was so kind to help me buy some stuffs (mainly skincares and makeup) when she went to korea for holiday last december. I wasn’t able to get this in Singapore’s Skinfood retail outlets. THEY DID NOT BRING IN THIS RANGE!! WHY! ~.~
Loads of samples were given, especially from skinfood. But i weren’t interested in the samples cos’ they are mostly the same hair products. Like, there were about 5 samples of the SAME hair wash. -.- Might give it away if anyone is interested, since i wouldn’t be using them. Oh, maybe i could use it when i’m heading to the pool for a swim!
Back to topic. I’ve been so looking forward to using the jelly bb cream ever since i watched THIS on youtube. I love her makeup tutorials, she seems like a very gentle and nice person from korea. Do check out her videos!
Well, the ingredients are all written in Korean. I know nothing about it cos i can only read Korean, but don’t understand it at all hahahaha! I suppose the ‘open here’ contains the English version of the product ingredients.
Alright, i don’t like the packaging because it is in a jar. I really don’t like digging my fingers in to get the product, especially if i have long nails(i usually keep my nails short btw), that is so unsanitary! Imagine those bb creams that got stuck in your nails!! Yucks! So, i used a spatula to scoop the product out on my hand. Or, another way would be to scoop out some amount and fill them into those sample jar!
It has SPF 20 PA ++, which means i can don’t wear sunscreen!! YAY for lazy people! I know we should use products of PA +++ (3 +++) to get the maximum protection. And i’ve never trusted those sunscreen properties in base makeup at all. Therefore, i still went ahead with a sunscreen before applying the bb to get maximum protection.
It looks like it’s gonna be so thick when applied, but trust me, it doesn’t! The warmth on your fingers just melts/blends the jelly onto your skin making it so easy to apply! It provides enough hydration for me, but yea, u have to apply quick so that it doesnt dry out too fast on ur face, making it difficult to blend it away.It doesn’t cover my pores as well as etude house’s bb cream. This, to me, it’s more like a tinted moisturizer instead of a bb cream. It has got low to medium coverage. But it’s buildable. I dont have much spots to conceal but still need concealors. Thus, don’t expect too much coverage from this bb cream if you have some hard-to-cover spots. For me, i’m doing fine with it since i don’t need much coverage.
NOTE: I got my BB cream in shade no. 2, which i think has a pink undertone in it! ugh. I’m a Mac NC 30 (studio fix powder), so it looks a little off on my face! But boyf said i looked fine. Maybe I’m too paranoid. sigh. I wanted shade no. 1 initially, but there was no stock! 😦 totally sucks when u have a good product but in a wrong shade! I’m contemplating to sell it away!! Should i???
Also, remember to cap it as soon as you’re done scooping it out from the jar. You don’t want to lose the hydration in the cream, especially with such humidity in SG!
Blends really well
Hydrates like a moisturizer
light consistency when applied
wrong shade for me
troublesome to scoop out the product
seems to accentuate my pores unless i exfoliate before applying :S
Alright, now it seems like there are more cons about this product than the pros. hahaha
Would i repurchase? : Maybe not. Unless im able to get it in the shade no.1 !
Next post would be the red orange sun powder, also from skinfood! yay!
